About Me
Welcome to a glimpse of my world. My name is Fenicle (well my middle name). I’m 30 years old. I have often been told that I ask a lot of questions, but I think I have more to say than ask. The first question you might ask me is what is Fenicle? Read here. I was conceived, born, raised and then transplanted back in this Southern Indiana area after college. It is a little too close to the Kentucky border though. My parents divorced when I was 12. It sucked. I have a younger brother, my son calls him Dude (that is not his real name - my mom only gave me the weird name). I am VERY close to my family, especially my mom and aunt. We’ve had a lot of challenges and a lot of loss over the past few years, but it has just drawn us closer.
My huckleberry husband (Nate) and I have a typical marriage. We argue over the thermostat, who will do the dishes, who will cook, who left the toilet seat up (usually not me), and why he hasn’t mowed the lawn in weeks. What we don’t argue about is sex, money, and raising our child. Mostly because we hear that those are the top 3 things that break marriages up. So we figure if we avoid them, we’ll be together forever and can continue to argue over more important matters like the remote control. I think we make a good pair. I like reality T.V. and he prefers unrealistic shows where if you save the cheerleader, you save the world.
Little man Ethan is 5 years old. He is an energetic kid with a lot of reasoning skills. It’s sad when he comes home and tells me something that I didn’t know. That is why we don’t home-school (well, that and because I failed college algebra 9 times!). For holidays and birthdays we started “helping” Ethan buy a book for the other parent as a gift. We try to find a children’s book with the most words, so that person will have to read it over and over and over. (If you know of any good ones, let me know!)
I work full-time as a school program coordinator. My husband is a website designer and graphic artist. Very talented.
As I share our lives with you, I’ll include more personal information. Stay tuned. This is our life or somewhere like it.
